The twin towns of Damariscotta offer all that a boater could ask for with Schooner Landing’s docking facilities and slips, their restaurant featuring local seafood, lobster rolls and Damariscotta River Oysters, near by ATMs, pharmacies, groceries, a post office, a hardware store and many gift shops and provisioners. Schooner Landing’s restaurant and marina (207-563-7447) greets you as you approach the town of Damariscotta. Grab a slip for lunch or dinner and if the dock is full, tie your tender to the public dinghy dock next door. Seasonal and nightly slips are available on a first-come-first-served basis at the rates of $45/ft. per season or $2 & $4/ft. per night.

Historic Schooner Landing is built over what was originally Cottrill’s Wharf which was established in the late 1700’s. During the 1800’s the wharf provided the best location for seagoing vessels to transfer cargo. In the early 1900’s the dining area of the current restaurant became an important area for cargo transfer, but also developed as an active area for tourism who would arrive via train in Newcastle and then transport via steamship to areas such as Bristol, and allowed opportunities for stylish dress.
Also operating out of Schooner Landing’s Marina is Mid-Coast Kayak. Owned and operated by Mitch and Erin Mitchell.
